Why this journey exists

Your student will see it with their own eyes.

Every day of their education a student hears one account of how everything began — in the textbook, the classroom, the media — and is told it is settled. For fourteen days, forty students hear the other side argued seriously by the people who hold it, learn to state the case they were taught calmly and fairly, and then test both against the evidence. They decide with their eyes open.

The scales a student is handed every day are already weighed down on one side. We put weight on the empty pan — and teach them to read the scale.

Free to join and it commits you to nothing — you simply hear first when dates, costs and scholarships are confirmed. Your student travels in a cohort of ten from your own tradition, with your own adults. What we teach →

STEM

Science & Innovation

Aerospace, engineering, biology, earth science — and the rules of evidence and logic that every claim on this journey must pass.

Faith

Faith & Origins

The case for creation and design, made by the people who hold it — and the tools to weigh it against what the textbook taught. What we teach →

History

History & Civics

American history, the founding documents, and the Bible's mark on the values, education and science that made the West.

Leadership

Reflection & Service

Journaling, discussion, and the skill of stating a view you disagree with calmly and fairly — then showing where it fails.

Places We Will Visit

Twelve institutions. None of them neutral — and every one of them honest about where it stands.

How It Works

Three steps — and your student must be able to make the textbook's case fairly before they are allowed to critique it.

Prepare

Before departure: orientation, background study, research questions, team assignments and clear expectations — so students arrive knowing what they are looking for.

Explore

On the ground: guided observation at each institution, daily discussion, and a learning journal every student keeps in their own words.

Reflect

After the trip: a structured closeout on July 10 where students organise their notes, synthesise what they learned, and decide what to do with it.

The Fourteen Days

This is not a sightseeing tour with a worksheet stapled to it. Every stop is tied to preparation, observation, discussion, documentation and reflection.
Before departure
Orientation, background study, research questions, team assignments — and the evolutionary case laid out fairly, so students arrive knowing what they are weighing.
Seattle
Aerospace and engineering at the Museum of Flight. At the Discovery Institute, the case for design as the most productive premise for discovery — and the argument that the strictly materialist frame has cost science forty years.
Northern Kentucky
The biblical account of creation and the flood, argued at full strength by the people who hold it — then weighed with the same rules of evidence students brought to Seattle. Students notice these two stops disagree on the age of the earth; we let them.
Washington, D.C.
The Bible's influence on history at the Museum of the Bible; natural history, aerospace, American and African American history at the Smithsonian; the founding documents in the rooms that hold them. The other side of the ledger, read with the same rules.
July 10 · Closeout
Home-based reflection: organise journal notes, synthesise lessons learned, and identify how to apply the experience in school, family, faith and community life.
What comes home

The souvenir is who they became on the way back.

Parents do not remember the itinerary a year later. They remember that something shifted. These are the three shifts the journey is built to produce — and the only outcome we promise is that your student decides with their eyes open.

A student who can argue both sides

They can state the case they were taught calmly and fairly, explain why people hold it — and then show where it fails. No grinding of teeth.

Stronger in what you taught them

They have confronted the hard questions somewhere safe, with your adults beside them, and chosen for themselves. That can only strengthen what you gave them.

A sense that they are a citizen of something

They have read the founding documents in the room that holds them, and understood that those institutions belong to them too.

Who This Is For

People ages 15+ from homeschool, private or public schools, and church youth groups.

Every group of ten students requires two adult chaperones. Chaperones will complete orientation and communication training to help them connect with, support and guide today’s teens.

Straight answers

What we can tell you today — and what we genuinely can't yet.

You are being asked to express interest in something that is still being planned. A journey that asks students to examine every claim should expect the same of itself — so here is exactly where the planning stands.

Settled

  • ✓Travel dates. June 27 – July 9, 2027, with a July 10 closeout at home.
  • ✓The three regions and the twelve institutions listed on this page.
  • ✓Group size and supervision. Four cohorts of ten students, eight adult chaperones.
  • ✓The educational structure. Prepare, explore, reflect — with journals throughout.

Still being finalised

  • •Final cost per student. We will not publish a number until it is a number we can hold.
  • •Scholarship amounts, which depend on how sponsorship comes in.
  • •Application requirements. The program welcomes people ages 15+; further eligibility details will be published before registration.
  • •Registration opening date and the deposit schedule.

The interest list is how you find out the moment each of those moves from the right column to the left. It is not a deposit, an application, or a place in line you can lose.

Want to know exactly what we believe and what we will teach your student? Every classroom, museum and textbook has a perspective; we have written ours down so you can examine it. Read our Statement of Faith & Perspective →
